Surplus Lines Management
WHOLESALE & SPECIALTY INSURANCE ASSOCIATION
WSIA’s Surplus Lines Management offers pivotal management training for any E&S professional transitioning from a technical expertise to a leadership role while retaining personal responsibility for a book of business. Combining industry knowledge and world-class management training from Emory University, this program prepares participants for their current and future leadership positions by examining the foundation of good management. Participants will learn to harness their own leadership style to motivate teams, manage conflict, build a book of business and increase company value and performance through effective relationships and a broadened industry perspective. The program also features an Executive Panel allowing attendees to interact with industry veterans.

Executive Leadership Summit
WHOLESALE & SPECIALTY INSURANCE ASSOCIATION
This capstone program focuses on developing and implementing strategic planning, leadership and change management at the personal, team and organizational level. Senior-level professionals learn through intensive, real-life case studies taught by faculty from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Participants return to their organizations with the tools and mindsets to act more strategically. Attendees will develop the enterprise perspective required to make winning choices while running their businesses in today’s complex environment.

Excess & Surplus Lines
WHOLESALE & SPECIALTY INSURANCE ASSOCIATION
Eric P. Newman Education Center (EPNEC)
Gain a solid understanding of how excess and surplus lines insurance works in the marketplace in this introductory program. E&S participants analyze and discuss real world issues and leave with a foundational understanding of the dynamics and relationships between surplus lines brokers and carriers. Surplus lines industry executives are the primary instructors. Attendees participate in a variety of self-directed learning settings such as study groups, panels and informal networking sessions. The school’s curriculum is reviewed annually to keep pace with emerging technology and the changing nature of the industry.

WHOLESALE & SPECIALTY INSURANCE ASSOCIATION

WSIA University offers live technical training specific to the wholesale and specialty insurance industry, presented by industry experts who share their knowledge and experience. Course formats include highly interactive, case study-based, panel discussions and presentations. The program focuses on engagement and participation and mirrors an on-site program with group discussions, so no recordings will be available. Registration is reserved for those who are able to attend and participate in the live sessions. Attendees choose the sessions that are of interest to them and can select as many or few as desired.

Member Appreciation Day

at Citi Field
Members, colleagues and friends packed five suites at Citi Field on Monday, May 2, 2022 for ELANY's 2nd Annual Member Appreciation Day. Even though the Mets couldn't pull off a win against the 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves, a good time was had by all who attended. The night was filled with laughter, good food and cheer. Thank you to everyone who made it and we look forward to seeing you all again real soon.

More than 150 members, friends and colleagues packed the three party suites at Yankee Stadium on June 28th for ELANY's Member Appreciation Day. It was a scorcher of a day and the Yankees took the loss, but the drinks flowed, the laughter was plenty and every stayed cool while cheering on The Bronx Bombers!
